2nd Annual FORUM THINK TANK

Dates for the 2010 Forum Think Tank to be Announced. Please read below for a recap of the 2009 event.

On Wednesday, October 14th, over 50+ executives, academics, and people-enrichment experts in attended the Forum’s 2nd Annual Think Tank at the Union League Club of Chicago. It was gratifying to see diverse segments and industries of business come together to share common challenges and insights on leadership and the value of people. Who's in Charge Now? Thriving in a People-Led Economy exceeded our highest expectations!

The Think Tank was a day full of energy and insight, as the many conversations stretched our thinking into new territory. We wrestled with the realities of the radically changing economy and explored what it means to not just engage, but to “enrich” the lives of employees. The group considered how leaders need to change in order to create enrichment, eventually leading to the co-creation of value for all the constituents we touch in our businesses.

Academic Director Frank Mulhern of Northwestern University anchored the morning and served as a true catalyst for new thinking. The Forum’s keynote speakers, Michael Stallard and Jason Pankau, shared ideas concerning the importance that “connection” and relationships play in our lives and offered up a dramatic message to ponder – “connect or die!”

These concepts, as well as the many fantastic and enlightened conversations the thought leaders shared with one another, led not just to new ways to lead our businesses, but to NEW REFLECTIONS ON HOW TO LEAD OUR LIVES.

Using this successful event as a guide, The Forum is already in the planning stages for the 2010 Think Tank. If you are interested in being included in next year’s Think Tank, please contact annalisa@performanceforum.org.
